Review/comment: Just something to be mentioned, I think this is a slightly abridged version of the book. I am currently reading the "Great Illustrated Classics/The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Unabridged Version, 1979 Version" which contains a slight bit more detail, and a WHOLE lot more of french phrases and literal translations. Of course, I don't read or speak French, so I cannot compare the original books for proof. P.S. And yes, it is possible that there is even MORE detail in this book. You gotta love Victor Hugo. One minute you want to throw the book away, the next you can't stop reading it. You hate it that you love him, but you love him because you hate him.
